Hormone therapy at Defiance Health starts at $135 per month for women and $200 per month for men. Final pricing depends on your labs, dosing, and the specific protocol your provider recommends. We're cash-pay and will provide a superbill so you can request reimbursement from your private insurance.
How much does a semaglutide or tirzepatide weight loss program cost?
Our medical weight loss programs range from $200 to $900 per month, depending on the medication, your dose, and your goals. We prescribe compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide — the same active ingredients as Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound, formulated by licensed compounding pharmacies.
Is the initial consultation really free?
Yes — your initial consultation at Defiance Health is completely free, with no obligation to move forward. It's a chance to meet your provider, review your health history and goals, and decide together whether we're the right fit.
Do you accept insurance?
Defiance Health is cash-pay. However, we provide every patient with a detailed superbill, which you can submit to your private insurance to request out-of-network reimbursement for covered services. We also accept HSA and FSA cards, and we offer financing through CareCredit and Cherry to make treatment more accessible.
Do I need a referral from my primary care doctor?
No referral is required. Patients can book directly with Defiance Health — whether you're starting hormone therapy, a weight loss program, or ordering labs on your own.
Can telehealth patients in Arizona, California, or Washington be treated entirely virtually?
Yes — we can manage your full treatment relationship virtually across Colorado, Arizona, California, and Washington, including lab orders, prescriptions, and follow-ups. An in-person first visit is preferred when possible, but it's not required for telehealth patients outside Colorado.
How long until I feel results from hormone therapy?
Most patients notice early changes — improved energy, mood, or sleep — within the first few weeks of hormone therapy. Fuller results typically appear around 6 to 8 weeks, once hormone levels stabilize. Your provider will re-check labs during this window to fine-tune your protocol.
Do you prescribe brand-name Ozempic and Wegovy, or compounded versions?
Defiance Health prescribes compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide through licensed compounding pharmacies. Compounded GLP-1 medications contain the same active ingredients as brand-name Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound, and are often more accessible and affordable than brand options.
