Do you accept insurance?
Defiance Health is a cash-pay practice. We don't bill insurance directly, but we provide superbills you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many of our services qualify for HSA and FSA funds, which use pre-tax dollars.
How much does the initial consultation cost?
Our comprehensive intake is $495, which includes your in-office lab draw, the full lab panel relevant to your concerns, and a 60–75 minute provider visit to review your results and discuss treatment options. This is a flat fee separate from any treatment you choose to pursue. Aesthetic consultations are a different process and are typically free or low-cost — call (719) 480-2400 to confirm pricing for your specific service.
What's included in the $495 comprehensive intake?
Your in-office lab draw (no separate trip to LabCorp or Quest), a full hormone or wellness lab panel chosen based on your concerns, and a 60–75 minute visit with a licensed medical provider to review your results in detail and discuss treatment options. For comparison: a standalone hormone panel typically runs $200–400, and a comprehensive new-patient visit with a hormone-focused provider typically runs $200–500. The $495 bundles both into a single appointment.
Does the $495 apply toward treatment if I move forward?
No. The $495 is a flat fee for your evaluation and is separate from any treatment plan you choose. We charge it this way so we can spend the time genuinely needed to evaluate your situation — without pressure to "convert" you to treatment to recoup costs. The fee covers your evaluation regardless of whether you decide to proceed.
Can I use my HSA or FSA for treatment?
Yes. Hormone therapy, medical weight loss, lab testing, and most of our other medical services qualify as eligible HSA/FSA expenses. Cosmetic-only treatments may not qualify — our team can help you determine what's covered during your consultation.
What financing options are available?
We partner with CareCredit and Cherry to offer financing with 0% interest promotional periods. Both have quick online applications with instant approval decisions. This makes it easy to start treatment now and pay over time with manageable monthly payments.
Why don't you list specific prices for hormone therapy and weight loss programs?
Both are individualized programs whose cost depends on your dosing, delivery method (pellets vs injections vs creams for hormones; semaglutide vs tirzepatide for weight loss), and monitoring frequency. Listing a single price would be misleading. We provide a clear, written quote during your consultation based on your specific protocol.
How much does medical weight loss with semaglutide or tirzepatide cost?
Pricing for GLP-1 therapy varies based on your dose and treatment duration. Your consultation includes a full cost breakdown so you know exactly what to expect each month, including medication and follow-up visits. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are generally significantly more affordable than brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound.
Do you offer package pricing for aesthetic treatments?
Yes. We offer package pricing for treatments that require multiple sessions, like laser hair removal, RF microneedling (EXION), BBL Hero, MOXI, EMSCULPT NEO, and EMFACE. Package pricing is discussed during your consultation and typically offers savings compared to individual session pricing.
Are your prices the same at both locations?
Yes. Pricing is consistent across our Centennial (Denver-area) and Alamosa (San Luis Valley) locations. You'll receive the same quality of care at the same price regardless of which location you visit.
Why are you cash-pay instead of taking insurance?
Cash-pay allows us to spend more time with patients (60-75 minute initial appointments instead of 15), order labs that insurance often won't cover, and avoid the limitations insurance companies place on hormone therapy, weight loss, and aesthetic care. Many patients find that the quality of care and depth of evaluation more than offset the difference, especially when using HSA/FSA funds.
What if I can't afford treatment right now?
Talk to us. We'd rather work with you on financing or phased treatment plans than have you skip care entirely. CareCredit and Cherry can break a treatment plan into manageable monthly payments. We also offer telehealth options that may reduce the total cost of ongoing care.
