Pelvic Health: Emsella & Emfemme 360

Regain confidence and control. Non-surgical treatments for urinary incontinence and intimate wellness — for women AND men — at our Centennial and Alamosa locations.

The Pelvic Health Conversation

Millions Live With Pelvic Floor Issues in Silence

One in three women and one in ten men experience some form of urinary incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction, or intimate wellness concerns during their lifetime. It's one of the most common — and most under-treated — health issues of midlife.

The reason is simple: it's uncomfortable to talk about. Patients feel embarrassed. Providers don't always ask. And the default response for decades has been "do Kegels" or "consider surgery" — with very little in between.

At Defiance Health, we offer non-surgical, non-invasive treatments that actually work: Emsella for pelvic floor strengthening and incontinence (for both women and men), and Emfemme 360 for women's intimate wellness. Real results, no downtime, no surgery.

"You don't have to live with leaks. You don't have to avoid workouts, long drives, or laughter. And you definitely don't need surgery to fix it."

Frequently Asked Questions

Pelvic Health Questions, Answered

Yes. Clinical studies show approximately 95% of treated patients experience significant improvement in quality of life, with 67% reporting elimination or significant reduction in the use of pads. The standard 6-session protocol over 3 weeks is what's been studied and clinically validated. Most patients notice improvement by their 2nd or 3rd session.
Yes. Emsella is FDA-cleared for both men and women. For men, it's particularly effective for incontinence following prostate surgery or BPH (enlarged prostate) treatment, and for pelvic floor strengthening in general. Many of our male patients find Emsella is the first treatment they've tried that's actually worked after years of Kegels or pelvic floor physical therapy.
Emsella uses electromagnetic technology to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles — you sit fully clothed in a chair. It's primarily for incontinence and pelvic floor weakness. Emfemme 360 uses radiofrequency to stimulate collagen and blood flow in vaginal and surrounding tissue — it's a women's intimate wellness treatment. Some patients benefit most from a combination of both. Your provider will recommend the right protocol.
No. Emsella feels like strong muscle contractions (similar to an intense workout for muscles you may not be used to activating). You remain fully clothed and can read or relax during the session. Emfemme 360 feels like comfortable warmth. Neither treatment requires anesthesia, and neither causes pain or recovery time.
Many Emsella patients notice initial improvement after the 2nd or 3rd session. Full results typically emerge 3-4 weeks after completing the 6-session protocol and continue improving for several months as muscle strength builds. Emfemme 360 results often begin showing after the first session, with continued improvement through the 3-session protocol.
Emsella results typically last 6-12 months. Most patients do a single maintenance session every few months or a short 2-3 session "refresher" yearly to sustain improvements. Emfemme 360 results vary by individual but often last 12+ months. As with any aesthetic or wellness treatment, results are not permanent, but they're designed to be sustainable with periodic maintenance.
Emsella is not recommended for patients with electronic or metal implants (pacemakers, copper IUDs, metal joint replacements in the pelvic area), during pregnancy, or with certain seizure disorders. Emfemme 360 is not recommended during pregnancy, active pelvic infection, or for patients with specific pelvic conditions. We review your complete medical history at your consultation to ensure safety.
Pricing is customized based on your recommended treatment plan, whether that's a full Emsella series, an Emfemme 360 series, or a combination. During your consultation, we'll outline all costs upfront — no surprises. Visit our pricing page for general service pricing or book a consultation for a personalized plan.
Emsella and Emfemme 360 are generally considered elective and are not typically covered by insurance. Defiance Health operates on a direct-pay model. We accept HSA and FSA cards, and offer financing through CareCredit and Cherry for patients who want to spread costs over time. Both CareCredit and Cherry offer promotional financing with no or low interest for qualified applicants.
The standard clinical protocol is 6 sessions over approximately 3 weeks — typically scheduled 2-3 days apart, not back-to-back. This spacing allows your pelvic floor muscles to respond and strengthen between sessions. We'll schedule your full series at your first appointment.
