All you need is a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and internet connection. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform — no special software downloads required. We recommend finding a quiet, private space for your visit so you can speak openly with your provider.
Yes. Hormone therapy management relies on lab results, symptom assessment, and medical history — all of which are fully addressed during a video visit. Your provider reviews the same comprehensive bloodwork and makes the same clinical decisions as they would in person. The only treatments that require an in-office visit are injections we administer (like pellet insertions) and aesthetic procedures.
We send lab orders to Quest Diagnostics or Labcorp — whichever has a location most convenient to you. Most locations allow walk-ins, so you can complete your bloodwork on your own schedule. Results typically come back within 2–5 business days, and your provider reviews them before your visit.
After your provider writes your prescription, it is sent to a licensed compounding pharmacy that ships directly to your home. Most patients receive their medications within 5–7 business days of their initial visit. Refills are handled through your ongoing follow-up appointments, so you never run out.
Absolutely. Defiance Health providers are licensed in Colorado, Arizona, California, and Washington. If you live in any of these states, you can receive full telehealth care including consultations, lab ordering, prescriptions, and ongoing management. Defiance Health operates on a direct-pay model, meaning we don't bill insurance directly. However, we accept HSA and FSA cards, and we can provide superbills that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. This model allows us to spend more time with each patient and keep overhead low.
Yes. If you're in the Denver metro area or San Luis Valley, you can see us in-person at our Centennial clinic or Alamosa location anytime. Many patients use a mix — telehealth for routine follow-ups and in-person for procedures like pellet insertions, IV therapy, or aesthetic treatments.
